Our favorite kind of gift to get our military husbands are the kind they’ll not only love when they open it but actually USE. We just don’t have the space (or mental capacity when we know PCSs are always looming) to store things, so buying a gift just to say we did it, isn’t our speed.

This year’s gift guide is all about fun, but practical gifts our guys have used over the years and absolutely LOVED. Here’s to celebrating these military dads, we’re biased but we think things guys deserve the world!

  1. Cove Cushion – for our boating friends, don’t hesitate just purchase! You’ll bring these out for your friends when you’re just floating and everyone will be obsessed with how comfortable they are (vs the traditional pool noodle or lifejacket between your legs options)
  2. Ring on a string game – this game is oddly addicting and perfect for a garage or backyard setup!
  3. Ugly Stik – for the guy wanting to dip his toe (or legs) in the water with some fishing. Ugly Stik is a great, universal rod no matter what fish are in your area!
  4. Tackle Box – Nothing is worse than wanting to get out in the water and having to combine all the stuff needed into a random bag. Having a tackle box is not just great for storing, but for being ready head out to fish at a moments notice! We love THIS one as a starter bag and THIS one for your avid fisher wanting an option that is more handy for taking offshore.
  5. Weber Grill Set – This is a gift that keeps on giving. Get the man a shiny grill set (and maybe some steaks!) and enjoy dinners on him all summer long!
  6. Pickleball Paddles – a growing sport for a reason, we had a blast playing Pickleball in Mexico on vaca with our husbands + love that it offers an opportunity for a date night or day date that gets everyone moving!
  7. Packable Hammock – perfect to take on hikes and sneak in a little R+R.
  8. Foldable Fillet Table – my dad has one of these and it’s brilliant, packs up perfectly to take it with you if you want to fillet by where you’re catching or you can easily set it up to fillet fish at home – a portable, flexible option at a great price point.
  9. Packable Camp Chair – whether it’s a backpacking trip or a spare for around the fur pit, these compact chairs are perfect to have on hand. We personally own this one and reach for it all the time!
  10. Backpacking Stove – another solid piece of gear that can just be nice to have in hand, at least, or really allow you to make the most out of an adventurous backpacking trip, at best! With a budget-friendly option and a higher-end option, these stoves are truly the best of the best!
  11. A Cozy, High-quality Tee – if your guy is all about comfort we love these cozy tee options from Vuori (SHOP HERE) and FreeFly (we love love love THIS Flex Pocket Tee). Both brands prioritize comfort and fit, so the material they use in their tees are worth every single penny you’ll spend. Trust us when we say, this will be his most worn shirt! Make sure you HERE to verify your ID and get 30% off at FreeFly and email Vuori directly for their military discount!
