Okay y’all, no matter who you are, no one wants to spend all of their free time cleaning their house (even though it already feels like we do, right?!). With being a full-time working mama, I tried my hand at hiring out my house cleaning but it just didn’t work out for me. So I needed to find a way to keep my house clean (for my sanity) but not spend that much time cleaning it!

PICK UP EACH NIGHT BEFORE BED

Listen, this is a judgement free zone. Whether you are team “Pick Up As You Go” or team “Leave It For Later” – you do you! Just make sure its all picked up before bed so you can start fresh tomorrow!

RUN YOUR DISHWASHER EVERY NIGHT

So my dad is a huge saver. He is always trying to save time and money, haha! So he told me a few months ago how he read that running your dishwasher is just as cost effective as hand washing all those pots and pans so he started running the dishwasher each night no matter what and it also ended up helping him stay on top of the dishes all the time. Now even if the $$$ don’t stack up to be the same – I still love not having to stare at a full sink anymore!

POWDERED TIDE + MICROFIBER RAGS

If you haven’t started following Go Clean Co. on IG by now for all your cleaning inspo, run. They are the ones who taught me about the glory of powered tide. I keep a small stash in a mason jar by my sink that I can just dip a wet rag in to and y’all…this is a magical combination. I don’t know why I changed, but growing up we always cleaned our house with rags. Though all while I have been married – we’ve used paper towels. But switching back to microfiber rags has been a gamechanger, especially for stuck on messes (c/o the baby). Economical and better for the environment too – look at that. These two together can clean EVERYTHING. Counters, upholstery, walls and baseboards also!

THE CLEANZOOM MOP
Fits perfectly in my hall closet!
Fits perfectly in my hall closet!

I talked about this on my IG stories a while back but I have been on the hunt for the perfect mop for A WHILE. Where we live now has almost negative storage so I needed a powerhouse (hello 100 lbs, furry dog) that was also compact enough to not take up too much room like my previous mops! The CleanZoom mop fits the bill. I am able to easily break it down each time and store it all together in my front coat closet – although it would even fit under the sink! It’s so cool with an insert for your dirty, flat mop head that wrings out the gross water as you slide it in and out of the mop bucket, so you start fresh each time! I use it with…wait for it…a few teaspoons of powdered tide and let me tell you, I’m disgusted in myself every time…

ROBOT VACUUM

Sometimes you just need a hand vacuum to clean up some quick messes. But 99.9% of the time, who vacuums their house regularly? My husband got me a robot vacuum for Christmas a few years back and let me tell you, that is a BLESSING of a present, haha! Nothing says “I love you” more than an item that does the work for you! But really, we run ours every single day and it keeps me sane. Especially know with a baby, its been my saving grace. The version we got was specifically for pet hair and I still cant recommend it enough!
