I am a chopstick pro! I looked down one evening + realized I was eating a salad with chopsticks. A SALAD! I have also fallen in love with the bountiful farmers markets here. I recommend the Eat Okinawa book to newcomers because it has numerous farmers market on the island as well as their location, phone numbers, hours of operation + a brief description on what they sell.

We have been able to incorporate so much more activity into our lives! We live on the sea wall which means we are walking, biking or skating to everything nearby. It’s also been so amazing to have the ocean so close by, it’s a hub for fun activities that keep us out of the house.
