Stronger Together: The WAF Chapter Network

Military life is full of transitions, PCS moves, deployments, new duties, unfamiliar cities, and ever-shifting seasons. While the online WAF community has connected thousands of military spouses across the globe, in-person connection matters.

That’s why we created the WAF Chapter Network, an international community of local, grassroots gatherings built by military spouses, for military spouses to empower, support, and uplift one another!

Our WAF Chapter Network Exists to:

At its core, the WAF Chapter Network exists to:
  • Build deeper, local community where military spouses can form authentic relationships that go beyond the screen.
  • Bridge isolation with connection through regular events and shared experiences unique to military life.
  • Share resources and local knowledge that make military transitions easier, from PCS tips to solo-season hacks and career support.
  • Support military spouses where they are, offering belonging, encouragement, and an active community across branches and locations.

This network extends the mission of Wives of the Armed Forces, to empower, connect, and support military spouses, into real-world spaces where community thrives.

Membership is free and open to military significant others (regardless of rank, gender, and marital status) who are ready to strengthen the community wherever they are stationed.

Chapter Leaders are local connectors and community builders who represent the heart of the WAF Chapter Network. They bring WAF’s mission to life in their hometowns by creating meaningful opportunities for military spouses to gather, grow, and support one another.

As a Chapter Leader, you’ll:

  • Organize regular meetups and events that reflect the needs of your community
  • Welcome new and existing military spouses into a space of encouragement and support
  • Share resources and knowledge that help spouses navigate the ups and downs of military life
  • Be part of a worldwide network of leaders who learn, share, and grow together
  • Uphold WAF values while shaping programming that fits your chapter’s personality and local needs

Whether that’s coffee and crafts, deployment support circles, family picnics, or career discussions, Chapter Leaders help turn strangers into friends and challenges into shared strength.

Being a part of a local WAF Chapter is simple and meaningful.

As a Member you will:

  • Connect with military spouses nearby, building friendships that last beyond deployments and PCS moves
  • Attend events and gatherings designed to inform, inspire, and uplift
  • Access local and national resources – from career support to wellness partners and community guides
  • Be part of a supportive circle where your experiences are understood, valued, and honored
